We had indeed a good time with your nostalgic campervan from 1975.
Reminded me of the old days (when I was 30 yrs.) when cars were not that sophisticated as today. It was part of the fun !
We experienced an excellent service when Dave collected us from the Inverness railway station and took us to your site where The Van (Lady Marmalade) waited for us.
Being used to right-hand driving, steering wheel left and gear switching right-handed, Dave took the time to instruct us and make us comfortable with the Van before we bailed off.
We made a trip along the coast from Forres, via Burghead, and Lossiemouth, but the sandstorm made us stop early in the afternoon and look for a campingsite
As the temperature was still a bit low and rain drummed on the roof, the long extension cable and electric heater came in handy, as well as a nice whisky to comfort us.
Next day we travelled to Breamar via the ski area where slopes up to 20 degrees up and down, needed to switch down to the first gear. But it gave us time to look around to all the snowy mountains. The Van did her job without protesting. Next camping we visited was in Ballater, nice little place. We travelled back to Forres via Mossat, Huntly, Duftown and Elgin
It was a joyful and remembering trip.
Thank you and maybe we meet again some time.
Greetings, Rob & Marjo – Netherlands (April 2013)
